The purpose of this progress bar is to show progress segmented. Can be used when you have many jobs which have different sizes and values. Can be used like a common progress bar when you have one segment. I post this code because I didn’t find this kind of bar on 1VBStreet and also because in that way I can see somebody else opinion. This reads the bus type of all drives associated with a drive letter. This way you can safely detect removable USB devices. Simplifies using asynchronous sockets in .Net - kind of resemble the old WinSock control for VB6. Using this class as a listener for multithreaded applications works GREAT! Never use DoEvents again. This is a standard C/C++ Message Pump. Compare each of these three methods against each other (including DoEvents) and watch your CPU usage. The code is pretty self-explanatory I think.

Currently this is the start of my personal VB.NET general purpose utility library. Currently the only code in this release of the library is a class that does on-the-fly encryption of XML files and demonstrates the use of System.Security.Cryptography and System.XML and System.IO ! The code uses memory streams as buffers for the encryption and decryption processes thus reducing temp dir clutter. Very clean code, have not yet had a chance to document it though.
