GeoLocator

Get your geographical location without the use of the registry and system settings. This is a component of my Global Assistant App which is being designed not to use system settings, as we all know people can get stuff up wrong when setting up Windows. Displays use of IP To location database and the conversion of a Dot IP to Long IP based on ISO3166. The acquasition of the external IP isn't tested on proxys (It would be good to know if it is still effective)

Double Buffer A Picture Box (Flicker Free)

**DOUBLE BUFFERING FOR BEGINNERS** Drawing constantly to a picture box causes huge amounts of flickering which is undesirable and looks unprofessional. This is a very easy way of removing the flickers using the double buffer method. Double Buffering has been used in games since time began, even back on the Amiga with Blitz Basic and Amos. The idea is to draw all details into a buffer, this means the user cannot see it and it is very quick. Once all the drawing is complete it is then copied to the front buffer (Picture box in this case). This means there is only ever one update per cycle as opposed to an update for every item drawn. When I began looking for this I found only examples of drawing onto a form... well that's a cheat, it has a DoubleBuffer property, a picture box doesn't... I'm not fussed about votes folks, just let me know if this has helped.

Not More Graphics Effects

I'm sorry but it seems a few people do like these effects. This ones differant again. This time i suppose my excuse is demonstrating BitBlt. It is pretty cool though, the image snakes around quite fluidly then when you press stop returns to it's original point of origin (Nearly)

More Silly fun With Pixels

I Know It's easy stuff, and it only takes a few minutes to make, but I suppose you could use this example to display a good use of Get and SetPixel. Making Images Appear to move without moving a control? I dunno. You Can use as many images as you like, just load your pictures into the control array PicRange, The program automatically compensates for the size of the control arrey. eg copy and paste PicRange(0) as many times as you like making PicRange(0) PicRange(1) PicRange(2) PicRange(3) PicRange(3+N) etc

A Nice Fresh GUI

I needed to write a program that actually did simple things, but It had to look good, not your normal run of the mill text box and label type thing. I Have created what could be closely be related to a Display engine, you tell it the Details, it does the rest. This is not a full menu list, but I would like to know, is this any good, or is there an easier way and I'm wasting my time???? your feed back is much apreciated
