For the student of Chinese or the traveler to the Peoples Republic of China (Mandarin Chinese-Simplified), this is a complete learning utility. It includes a Chinese-English-Pinyin general and medical dictionary. Extensive phrases with an emphasis on medical complaints, allergies and medications. Using SAPI 5.1, everything is pronounced and read in English or Chinese and may be recorded to wav files which then may be converted to mp3's (using the support files: [www.moosenose.com/www.moosenose.com/OCX-EXE.zip]. Extensive help is included. Sapi 5.1 SDK [http://download.microsoft.com/download/speechSDK/SDK/5.1/WXP/EN-US/speechsdk51.exe] and the Asian Language Pack [http://download.microsoft.com/download/speechSDK/SDK/5.1/WXP/EN-US/speechsdk51LangPack.exe] must be installed for the speech functions and the regional settings must be adjusted to PRC Chinese to see the Chinese characters. This is an implementation of the classic French card racing game, MilleBornes. I was looking for one here and on the net and couldn’t find the source, so I wrote some of my own. I’ve been working on this off-and-on for about four years now. Well, not really four years, because two and a half years ago, my computer got struck by lighting and I lost my HDD and had to start over. I’m glad it’s finished. Rules and instructions on how to play are included inside the application.

Compile and copy all executables and dll's to the root directory of CaptureScreen2AVI-GIF and enjoy. Major Update(07-22-07): Additional features have elevated this project into an Adobe Premiere like video processing utility. The interface has improved as the video frames can be viewed in a timeline, selected, processed with many effects, joined, split and saved as an AVI. I will try to write a help file soon...The program accepts multiple AVI (only and success may be contingent on the codec) files and will process them frame by frame. Disk consumption depends on the file size and resolution. Audio is not processed. I recommend small AVIs and/or limiting the number of frames captured. One may then join selected frames or all of the frames. The program accepts AVI's of different resolutions as well. One may also load a single avi and split out sections to write using a multiselect timeline. This is`based in part on Ray Mercers AVI code with some modifications. This utility compliments and will likely be incorporated in my Screen Capture program here on PSC.. Update(07-16-07): I've added the ability to apply effects (using AMAZING EFFECTS txtCodeId=55328, GraphicalDLL.dll; if you can't compile the C++ DLL, you may download it here: www.moosenose.com/GraphicalDLL.zip). Some minor bugs were fixed as well.---Update (08-25-07)---Interface improved, File backup and restore, Make animated GIF from edited video, Better selection features on timeline and view video with default avi viewing program. Completely recoded, now is extremely easy to use, one property, one event, and two functions, last example was confusing and not coder friendly :D --This class allows you to detect a previous instance of your application, pass the command line parameters and parse them. Simply compile to an exe and drag/drop any ocx or dll on it. It copies the file to the system32 directory (uses SHGetSpecialFolderLocation Lib "shell32.dll" API) and registers it. It saves me time as I was always copying the files to the system32, finding them and then registering them. Now, I don't have to. This project was undertaken as a request from a friend of mine who runs a Disco/Karaoke show. He wanted a way to find his Mp3/Karaoke fil quickly - he has over 12,000 files on his PC! - he also wanted to be able to drag & drop the files straight into his player (He uses VDJ Studio which is ideal for his setup, you can download a demo here http://www.vdj.net One of his main concerns was the ability to easily see the files and to identify which tracks were Karaoke and which were Music only - his eyesight is not what it was! The rest of the program's functions were gradually added as the project developed; ie, the Catalogue browser was introduced because not all the Karaoke tracks on his hard drive were titled, they sometimes just have disc & track numbers, so like all Karaoke people he had a comprehensive list as an excel spreadsheet which he used to produce his catalogues with! So I decided to incorporate a excel reader - which worked - but was too slow, so I converted the excel file to a CSV text file and used the Text file reader,this proved to be very effective and very quick! the listview can also be sorted by clicking the title bars. The Song Queue,Playlist Maker and Editor were all added at later dates and have proven to be very usefull in a Live situation were speed and reliability are of the essence. Bits & pieces of this code has been found on various websites, so I cannot take credit for the whole thing - my thanks to those people where ever they may be! - but the main Idea and design I will take credit for! Hope this is of some use to some of you - I know the DJ's out there should find it very usefull, and if you find any bugs please email me and let me know! This Clone includes Voice, Scripting (VBS), Smileys, Full Font Style Parsing, PM's, Buddy List, Chat Filter, Ignore List, Advanced Boot Protection, Clean & Professional Interface, YMSG12-YMSG15 Protocol Support. The Scripting feature is all done by runtime events like Outgoing Message/Ingoing Message and alot more, its using the VBS Control system and is also adding all the Objects of the Forms to make them accessable by the VBS Control, theres also a Class for the VBS Control where are functions located that can be used runtime by scripting. The Boot Protection works easy, its counting all packets of the Users if there are more than 3 Packets in less or an second it will ignore these Packets and automaticly Ignore the User. The Font Style Parsing is all done by HTML and the IE Object, its using advanced functions to trim HTML or modify it while its receiving Data, this makes it more easier and comfortable for the end-users. YahEarth is also using the newest Smileys from the Original Yahoo Messenger and can be modified/added without re-compiling the whole Source Code. The Interface and buttons can be modified by the Resource Files (Pictures/Settings) and also have runtime options to modify the style of the GUI. The Client is able to handle the new YMSG15 Protocol for MSN Live Chat & Buddys, the Packets are not much different but atleast i got it work with YMSG15.
