An Image Control as well as Picture Box Replacement. it contains a lot of funcionality but as it uses pure Win32 APIs it is very hard to document this fucntionality. You can open and Image and use the key combination: Ctrl+NumPad '+' to Zoom In and Ctrl+NumPad '-' to Zoom Out There are many other hidden functions like Set Brightness, Create Scan Line Effects, etc. but will document them later on. Updated to demonstrate binary-embedded XP Manifest invocation. The SendToLocation utility is a emensely useful program that operates from, and inserts a shortcut to itself in your Windows Explorer SendTo folder. When you are copying or moving folders, you can simply select them within Windows Explorer, right-click, select Send To, and then choose the "Send To Location..." option. This utility emulates a wonderful utility that had been included in the now-defunct Miscrosoft Windows 95 Power Toys package (I think it had also been included in the Windows 98 Power Toys). When the SendToLocation program comes up, you are presented with a list of the files/folders you have selected to process. You are given an option to copy or move them. You can also browse to the target location, or choose from a combobox of previously selected destination locations (most recent to the top, and you can clear this history at any time with the Clear History button). You also have the option to send created shortcuts for the selected items at the destination location, such as the Desktop, a Desktop folder, or whatever you choose. If you are creating a shortcut for only a single file, you can change the default name of the shortcut to something more meaningful to you, such as replacing a default like "PrjMyCalc.exe" to "My Personal Calculator". Another option is to send the selected item or items as attachments in MAPI-based email (you can choose recipients from within the application, or from within your email program), and when you hit OK, it will open up you MAPI-based email application. I have used this utility in all its evolutionary forms on a daily basis since 1998. I thought it was about time I shared it with others. *** Version 1.0.1 added a check to ensure that someone is not trying to email a folder, which is seldome a recommended practice, and email programs do not like it. It will now recommend that you compress the folder to a ZIP file. *** Version 1.0.2 Added the ability to Drag and drop forgotten files onto the list, and the ability to select entries and delete them, if a file/folder was accidently added to the list. Win2K & above only. A simple example of using updatelayeredwindow (ULW) and setlayeredwindowattributes (SLWA) APIs to create a semi-transparent form capable of "hosting" controls. The word "hosting" is not correct. This example shows one way of creating a host form for controls and overlaying it on the semitransparent background. Kinda neat. Hi This is a small Pixel editor I made for my self to make small toolbar 16x16 bitmaps, it like the ones you see in word when you edit a menu button, anyway mine allows you to invert color, flip and rotate the image, Move the image, anyway hope you like it.

***UPDATE 12/05/2007*** System Tray menu support for creating user defined menus, added Form Max & Min Height/Width support as per request. ***PREVIOUS UPDATES*** Transparent corners added. This is an owner drawn Vista Form control that comes with 2 preset styles. It has icon support for 16x16 icons and has transparency support that can be adjusted from 0-100% and also switched on/off. The Minimise, Maximise and Close buttons can all be removed from the Form also. The Form title font can also be changed both in colour and style. This was only coded since last night and finished off today, so be kind when commenting. Any issues please let me know, oh and if you download it... you can at least vote for it!!!

A barcode generator. Right now only accepts a subset of Code128B (A-Z & 0-9) but can print all that is required by the Code128 check character. Output is verified correct using my Argox barcode scanner. If you want to test it, do a print screen and paste the generated barcode into MS Word. Then print using Word's "High Quality" print setting Doesn't use any barcode fonts, just the Line statement.

A FAST SYNTAX COLOURING LIKE NO OTHER....PLEASE VOTE!!!!! This usercontrol focuses on syntax colouring like in VB/C++/Delphi and Etc. It has a beginner friendly Properties, and Mehods that other syntax coloring control do not have. This is a yet completed employee management system.I developed this application as a project for my course semester. It has the functionalities like addition,modification,deletion,searching,etc. with nice gui(see screenshot). This code will teach you some basic and advanced strong field validations.I think this code is not too much complicated to understand.If you find any bugs please notify it by posting your comment.Any suggestions for improving this application will be appreciated.If you like this application then please vote for it.It will encourage me to post some more advanced applications on PSC in future.

By request, here's another first of its kind in VB: a fast, accurate, real-time image curves dialog. (This should be familiar to the PhotoShop users among us :) Curves is similar in theory to my previous "Image Levels" post and standard gamma correction, but it provides a much more powerful interface for adjusting the luminance of an image. This project provides results very similar to Photoshop's, and it allows the creation of more spline knots (32 instead of 16). The cubic spline code on which I based my code was taken from Jason Bullen's excellent "Simple Cubic Spline Curve Plot" (http://www.planetsourcecode.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=11488&lngWId=1). The code is well-commented and very fast - please post comments, requests for future Photoshop-related code, and many heaps of praise (as this was a complicated routine to sort out...)! Update 2/May/07 - disable loading of icons and warn the user against loading very large images.

This is a nicely done 24 hour alarm clock. It allows you to select the alarm sound (wav), which it keeps in an ini file. The alarm time is easily set with sliders. It displays Day, Date, Time, Alarm time and Sleep Time (how much time you have to sleep). Several cool “animation” tricks.

Biblos is an open source book library manager. It's fully operational, and it's ment to be used by educational libraries everywhere. It was made using a 3 tier framework implementation, using XML as interlayer communication and mysql as database. It has a fully implemented security system, either by value or by role. To install just compile and register the VB dlls, and then just configure the site to point to the asp files. If you are interested I also have the user, and admin manuals.
