This Code shows you how you can create Pie Charts Graphics and PDF Exports out of an OLEDB-Datasource with vb.net on the fly. For the datasource i've used the Northwind.mdb. The connection string is persisted in the app.config file and has to be changed after the download to get the code up and running. For the PDF Export I've used the freely available itextsharp library. The Pie Chart is generated by GDI+ so no expensive 3rd Party Products, follow the instructions in the readme.txt. It's quite common, and I do it my self! I find a site that has some interesting script, and I 'borrow it'. I wouldn't say steal, as I usually re-write it, but the net effect is the same. Someone else has done the work, and since it's on a web site, almost anyone with some know how can 'borrow it'.
The author code this program just for self-learning. The application contains only some basic function like, new, open, save, page setup, print, cut, copy, paste and select all. Hope you all enjoy don't mind cause it is not a very advance application, the author learn JAVA within 1 month only. Thankx.

Draws an animated StarField. A left-click with the mouse will move the StarField center to the mouse position, holding down the left mouse button while dragging the mouse will continually change the StarField center, holding down the right mouse button will activate a "hyperspace" effect (of sorts). The form can be resized. Each star's size and brightness is calculated according to its relative distance from you, the viewer. The number of stars in the StarField is easily changed.

I am currently tinkering with a Map Editor for a game engine I am in the process of making. To the gamer, the Game engine will appear to be a 2D tile based game engine, but in fact it will be a full 3D engine, that uses a OrthoOffCenterLH projection matrix to render geometry on the screen in a 2D manner. The geometry itself consists of untransformed and lit 3D geometry, So that the video card handles all of the transofrmations etc. I have written a sample demo of a map editor that demonstrates creating a simulated tile environment using untransformed and lit 3D geometry. NOTE: That this LEDemo app is a compleatly separate app I made so that I could visually play around with the basic principles of map making using 3D geometry to simulate 2D. And to give me insite as to how the actual map editor will operate when it is finished being written. For more info read the Readme.htm file included in the zip.
