Firstly I would like to say Don’t look over this because its ranked as ‘Beginner’ Code, it could be classed as ‘Intermediate’ code but I stuck it under beginner as I want people to learn how to make a basic screensaver. This program is a Screensaver that emulates the ‘Blue Screen Of Death’ that users unwillingly get on windows Extra Problems (XP) I made this once as a prank, but decided to turn it into a screensaver, making it just like the real thing, just your able to close it. This tool can create codebooks for the 3-rotor Wehrmach/Luftwaffe Enigma, the 3-rotor Kriegsmarine M3, also called Funkschlussel M, and the 4-rotor Kriegsmarine M4. You can also select two M4 type sheets that are compatible with the M3 or Wehrmach/Luftwaffe models. The program generates random settings, depending the model, for the eight different normal and two special Beta and Gamma rotors, for both wide and thin reflectors, ringsettings and plugboard connections. The chess engine is not very strong, only operating at 4 or 5-ply, so you should be able to win fairly easily but it might surprise you at times. Making such a program bug-free I found quite difficult. So far as I can tell, all the legal moves, castling rules, en passant, promotion etc are OK. Displays Tray Icon and two types of balloons. The first one is the system provided by Shell_NotifyIcon function balloon. The second one is actually a customisable Tool Tip control provided by "tooltips_class32" class. This balloon can be displayied on any Windows system since win 95 in opposite of "Shell_NotifyIcon" balloon. In addition it is possible to display several ballons in the same time for each application while the system balloon will not appears when any other application is already displaying its own balloon. Query Analyser scripting is useful for migrating a Jet (Access) database to SQL Server. It migrates Tables, Indexes & Constraints (for Default Values etc). The VB6 code generator produces ADO or DAO Object based code to create the database in code or create Class Objects to encapsulate the Tables. (Updated w/more Functions) The attached code will shape a window around a bitmap faster than anything else I've seen on any other site. A simple modification to the code (really optional parameters), can produce the desired results up to 4x faster! Surprised I haven't considered it before. This time the code is moved into a class that has many region-related functions. If the only reason you download is to strip out the RegionFromBitmap function, I think you will also appreciate learning about those other functions. Oh, why is this one faster; cause it uses a method none of the others do -- documented in the code. Patched: 18Nov/1430. SaveRegionToFile fixed, added 1 more ImportRegion option, cleaned-up code, made IsRegion public, & minor touch ups, more comments. 31Jan06/1800z: correct calc errors for rare cases in RegionFromBitmap() & minor tweaks throughout. 1Feb/0200z. Added many more region functions, added more examples in sample project, commented the code to death. History of changes at top of the class module. 2Feb/2130z: Added all remaining functions I can think of and even threw in a Region Collision routine. Short of bugs or bone-head errors, this class is done and now contains 99% of all known functions that actually create, destroy or modify regions.
