Use MapPoint the easy way - Dependency Free I needed some code to have the possibility to show multiple pushpins for helping Sales Rep to find quickly and easy which other clients where in the area where they where going. So instead of finding and displaying the find result box every adress, i only use ZipCode since it will get what I want based on my SQL Db. The code is dependency Free (Compatible with mostly all MapPoint version). Also i included the code to know if the mappoint objects are avail (on the form load event)

It just keeps getting better. This bundle features my ID3 class that intially took me 1.8 days to make and perfect. This class allows analyzing and editing of ID3v1 tags, older and newer ID3v2 tags, AND older and newer Lyrics3 tags. I also included a program to manage your MP3s that took me nearly an entire day to make as an example of use of this class. From the list view, you can play a file by double clicking the item or by focusing on the list view and pressing enter. You can also customize the columns in the list view by repositioning them. From the MP3 ID panel, you can view the meta information and/or edit it. The basic view consists of the title, artist, album, genre, track number, year, comments, and lyrics. The more advanced view consists of original artist, original album, copyright, and more. In this view, you can even scroll through the text fields using the middle wheel of your mouse (if available), provided that the list view is not focused. Another feature included is the automatic retrieval of song data from the iTunes store and Microsoft for particular MP3 files. The application will automatically install the vbzlib.dll file required to decompress GZip-compressed iTunes store data if it doesn't detect the DLL file. Thanks to GDI+, you can also add and/or edit album art in MP3 files, and the application is also capable of updating the album art using the automatic retrieval of song data. The class works efficiently as tested, so feel free to use the class in your existing projects. Find more information about ID3 tags at http://id3.org.

This an update of the Restaurant Management System that I developed for a Restaurant in country as a project when I was schooling. With a little trickery and subclassing, we can make a picture box look and feel as if it was a transparent frame. For XP manifest lovers, I know how much frames are a pain; this could be a nice substitute. This project isn't overly commented, but it isn't very big either. Uses Paul Caton's excellent subclassing thunks. 27Jan05: Didn't refresh when frame size reduced by code. 28Jan05: Modified to allow a no border option.

Here's a proxy changer that allows you to set or disable a proxy without having to restart IE. All the code I have found so far here on pscode about setting a proxy requires you to restart IE. The code is converted from the C++ code on http://www.codeproject.com/internet/changeproxy1.asp I didn't convert it, but I made a few small changes, because there was a flaw in releasing the memory, which made it crash the second time the proxy was set or disabled. No proxy lists have been included, because free proxies only work for several hours/days. Google is your friend ;) Only tested on Windows XP.

Recording application. Records from current checked inputs in Windows Mixer (recording). User can choice number of channels, sampling frequency, bits per sample. Implemented peak meter (not crappy mixerGetLineControls and so on, normal peak meter). Can be used as a peak meter (option "Do not write to file"). Very minimal chance, program can crash, but I think I've minimalised that danger. Don't forget to VOTE!!!

I needed a way to make a major project I am working on work with many languages and allow users to create there own language files, this is the result of those efforts. A class and a demonstration to allow your application to use language files. Allows you to create language.lng files for any language and change all text within the application to the new language. The class allows you to translate text via Index, Key or Phrase. 4 Languages included in this demo, English, Spanish, German and French. This simple code makes a custom OCX gauge. Use the min, max, and value properties to customize your gauge. The supplied tester project demonstrates how you may use the OCX. You may use this code as a simple reference on how to use "property let" and "property get" to give properties to your OCX.

This little application runs in the system tray and shuts down Windows and switches of your PC after an adjustable period of user idleness, ie no mouse or keyboard activity. Running processes are queried as to whether they have any objections to system shutdown and are forcibly terminated if they don't object or do not respond to the session end notifications.
