Update 15 June 2006: (Thanks to Robert Rayment and Cobein for ideas/code!) This final (as far as I'm concerned) version now uses the GetDIBits API color stream to count the unique colors in a picture Very Quickly. Tested in XP and Me... Not 95/98/NT yet (but should work). Masking colors returned in the GetDIBits array should resolve the OS problems that would otherwise occur. In XP tests, three of these functions will counts a 1024x768 pic with 145,350 colors in +-.125 seconds and the 4th in +- .203 seconds... and that's not bad (Tests were compiled)! This version includes 4 different functions for quickly counting unique colors. 2 are my work and 2 are modified from Rayment's code.

This program can suspend/resume any process. To suspend the process the program simply enumerates all the threads of the process and suspends them. The enumerations are global and they are done with the ToolHelp APIs. OpenThread works only on windows ME/2000/XP. Presented here are two VB classes for parsing Veritas Catalog files. Veritas catalogs are essentially the file system of a DLT backup tape it it may be useful to extract information from the catalog. Moreover, this was my first real successful attempt at reverse-engineering a file format. The file format specifications are included in the zip.

Well thanks to the parsing routine I worked out the other day we have satellite loops again. A special thanks also goes out to the NWS Satellite Services Division, for the new well organized server file system. Without their updates this program wouldn't have been possible. Images automatically update on 2 Min. after the quarter of every hour provided your system clock is accurate. If your running XP this shouldn't be an issue. You may need to run down the GDI resize DLL. For it is required for this program to run. If their are any unforeseen issues that I might have overlooked please feel free to post it. I sincerely hope everyone enjoys this new code & puts it to good use. Please let me know of any improvements you might make, I would love to see them. Update 1: I added the U.S. Continent map's & a map advance speed selector. As well as making the change that xim suggested. Update 2: I added 'Freeze on latest image'.

I searched all over Google and PSC, there isn't a "straight to the point" listview deduper using API. Using VB6 is EXTREMELY slow, and using the built in listview FindItem() function is horrible in performance. API was the solution for me but there is few resources out there for listviews and deduping with api so I took this one upon my self and wanted to share it. It's my hope also that maybe we can get it to go faster... NOTE: This will only dedupe a listview based on the Primary column, it will not work for deduping the subitems unless you modify the code. This will detect any motion between screenshots taken from a webcam and if so, saves the picture as a jpeg showing the before/after/motion snapshots as a single file. You can customise the amount of detail checked per frame, the frame rate and the colour tolerance as well as view the logged snapshots as a slideshow with a time line graph to show you when the shots were taken in the day and the timeline now only shows the range from the first to last log for the day instead of the entire day. You can also more easily select a screenshot either by selecting the event number or the date/time from a combo box (see screenshot below).
