A true NT service component written in vb. RBS Jet can monitor up to 10 hard drives simultaneously for changes to an unlimited number of specified files, file types, and directories. Backups are performed in real-time.. each time a watched file is changed, the service immediately backs it up to an archive then zips it with api compression. Monitor uses a series of cascading filters to keep cpu footprint negligible. Supported OS: NT4/W2K/XP/2003. _________________________________________________ V2 IS Up! Submitted wrong version of .odl on first go around, (though I think tlb was right one..). Made a couple of fixes here and there.. _________________________________________________V3 Is Up! Fixed some things in archive and service classes, a couple tweaks here and there. -Updated path in clsService to 'Service' folder, install problems should be resolved now. Hope ya like it.. John
A Library Management System using Microsoft SQL Server database in the backend. This project can also be implemented on Oracle by only changing the ADODB.ConnectionString property. Before working on the project you need to create the normalised tables, I've provided with the (DDL) SQL commands to adumbrate you with the structures for the tables used in the project. My Local Server name is BasuDip you'll need to modify this in the code. A screenshot of SQL Server Enterprise Manager is provided for reference. An updated code on Calculator is also included with the project. Hope you like it, your inspiration is solicited. Please vote and/or post your comments.
This application can easily change numbers list entered into Excel to number in words list. You can use it in large data collections like in making bills files in Excel. I make it for my companies work order entry where item rates are required in both forms in numbers and words form. It does really very easily and correctively with a great extent. I really believe on it. It is not so exellent but can be useful for someone who is working with excel.
Version 2.1.4. Inspired men may have written the Good Book, but they did not write it in English. Quickly become a Biblical Scholar, and be the local resident expert on ancient Christian history, its Bible, and its Greek translation. Read the Christian Bible DIRECTLY from the best rendition of the original Greek text reconstructed from the oldest verified Greek texts yet found. Use a professional-quality interface that is LOADED with options, designed for fast and easy use by both serious Bible students and those who are simply curious. Comparison Bibles available: King James Version (1611), Modern King James Version (1962), Darby (1884), Young's Literal Translation (1898), the Revised Standard Version (1971), World English Bible (1907), Webster's (1833), and American Standard Version (1901). New and enhanced reference databases are included to get really anal about translation and understanding terms. Scan each Greek verse word-by-word, apply valid English synonyms, and reconstruct your very own personalized version of this great book. Find out what it REALLY says. The program comes complete with full, detailed definitions of every Greek word, Theological notes on almost 7000 corrections to older translations, and lots of help and expansive reference tables. It will even perform plurality checking and gender checking on words for you. The application is loaded with tons of really cool programming tricks and features, and the source code is packed with comments. 112 more Theological verse corrections notes to the KJV have been added with 2.0. Another 1245 have been added with 2.1. New Features since version 1.0: Add Personal Notes to verses, scan through notes, read all notes, a completely new database has been added that is based upon the Vine Concise Bible Dictionary of the Bible, Dictionary Search, instant reference notification, Synonym word-list reordering, synonym explorer, more background themes (plus customized backgrounds), panel resizing, additional formatting options for saving bible (with a built-in bible-viewer and annotator), improved Gender and plurality checking on Greek words, Quick find of personal notes, Quick find of verses with Theological Correction Notes, and "Vapor Verses" (verse that did not exist in the original texts -- or sometimes ever!), and more. New Features since version 2.0: New stand-alone Bible viewer. Now when you have saved a Bible file (from the "Write Complete Bible File" under the Bible menu, you can use this mini-application to view it without having to start up the main program). Additionally, a Text Search feature has been added to both viewers. Another new much-requested feature is that you can now have the Theological Notes written out at the end of each chapter of the Bible File. Plus, another 1244 Theological Correction Notes were added that specifically address redefinitions of word meanings over the centuries. A new section was also added to the main help file that compares 284 common examples of KJV word usage differing greatly with (and sometimes contradicting) the word's modern usage. An auto-playing demonstration has also been added to visually teach new users how to use this application. A KJV Bible Dictionary is included, comparing 1300+ KJV terms with their equivalent modern interpretations (the results will surprise you). More help, more data, more details, more features, more everything! So much new data has been added that the ZIP file has grown from its original 5 MB to 16 MB. Version 2.1 fixes all reported bugs in Version 1.x.x and 2.0.x, and all requested enhancements have been added. Version 2.1.3 Added almost 400 more words to the KJV dictionary, bringing the total to over 1700, and added a feature to automatically point these terms out in the Verse text, providing their definitions as you view each verse. A new dialog allowing you to explore the original KJV translation strategy was also provided. Version 2.1.4 Fixed a few tiny errors.

But i think the code is intereesting and i hope it helps someone - also i hope someone make some projekts complete or integrate it in a other projekt. Update 26.6.: I include a sample-app for load icons and cursors and save cursors - i become some emails and someone asks for it so i put it to this samples
This program includes a class module useful for generating SHA1 hash's, I claim it to be the fastest SHA routine written in pure VB on PSC. There's also a test bed application to demonstrate the usage of the class. If you find a faster SHA 1 implementation (in pure VB,ie: no external DLL's) I'll remove this statement! Honestly though, for most applications speed is not really an issue due to the fact that most data that gets hashed is small. Thanks to Phil Fresle, some of the functions inside here are his. Enjoy! -Phil

Another control that I made for electrical controlling program, the is an animated button representing electric fan, lamp, LED and room. I used this controls for my BMS (Building Management System), for those who like my control here just give me a vote, thanks!
This is a demo I made for a friends tablet PC to show off the tilt feature allowing for mouse movement. However this can be used on any pc. It creates a surface that can be deformed by the mouse and is a really cool effect, just move the mouse on the surface and watch what happens.
Ever want to change the textbox, listbox, and other common control border colors to something besides grayscale? The attached is one solution using Paul Caton's safe subclassing technique. The project was started for someone else that couldn't use it as is, so I posted it per his recommendation. It has limitations, but might be something worth playing with or maybe even using. Added & tested a few more controls, cleaned up remarks/unused code.
*UPDATE-v1.0.142* - Fixed Tab Offset for TabCount > 10, Optimized Contained Controls Movement to allow for upto TabCount <= 45. *UPDATE-v1.0.139* - Fixed GDI Leak in Circular Gradient Method which Caused out of Memory Error. ucTabStrip emulates the Microsoft’s Visual Studio Style while providing “true” container support not found in VB’s native version. In addition, this control provides multi-row support, 6 background gradient styles, 8 custom color properties, transparent tab headers style, tab mouse-over hovering, accelerator keys, and a host of appearance and alignment properties for allowing complete customization. Moreover, this control implements a rich assortment of public events (15) to provide the developer with the tools needed to get the job done. So if your looking for an alternative to the native controls, and don’t have time to build your own, then check out this little ditty…TerriTop
The included Excel spreadsheet is a fully functional Soduku game generator and is playable right on the spreadsheet. If you enable 'hints' it will show you when you enter a bad value. The charts are there as 'boss candy' just in case you want to play a game - and look like you are doing work! I have previously released this as freeware on www.download.com. (I am 'Lyrical Software') Feel free to use the source code (that's why it is posted here).
Create Album of Images and show as a book. Requires Windows XP
Uses the waveIn API to record audio signals. You can change the recording source while recording and change its volume. The recorded samples get saved to a WAV file, with full ACM support, so you can even use an MP3 codec, if installed. The recorded samples get visualized through a frequency spectrum (Ulli's FFT class) and an amplitudes curve. Tested with XP. /// Update: Replaced the common dialog control with a class by Bill Bither (found at PSC), added some comments to the code, cleaned up a bit /// Update: fake window will be ceated only on start of recording, secured some parts in WaveInRecorder where pointers are used /// Update...: replaced subclassing with Paul Caton's technique /// update...: mixer functions should work fine now, uses a real mixer handle now ;), also the inverted line selection bug is fixed /// and once more...: mixer functions should be really stable now, added effects (echo, amplify, phase shift, 7 band graphical equalizer). Tipp: add echo, give it a short length (about 4-5 pixels to the left from the default) and set the echo amp to 6, makes your recording sound like a robot :)
Plasma Play by Robert Rayment. Just playing with plasmas & palettes, if you like that kind of thing. Only tested on WinXP, should be OK elsewhere. If you have trouble with the manifest file then rename or delete it. Zip 60KB.
Use of the API SendInput instead of SendKeys! This will prevent the error of access denied in the Windows Vista.
This is just a little demonstration on how to do frequency detection on digital audio signals. You can generate a signal from a DTMF sign (numbers, chars), which consists of 2 frequencies, and the program will detect it by using a Görtzel algorithm. Frequencies + Detection musn't always mean FFT. Sometimes there are faster ways.
