This code basically takes a string composed of everyday conversational english, and compresses it to a much smaller string using a set of dictionaries (included), and can also decompress any previously compressed strings.. This code was designed to be applied in a chat environment to save server bandwidth as the server has to echo many messages to hundreds of users many times per minute, this can make a big difference in bandwidth usage and in the case of a mmo game server, can help to ensure smoother gameplay as the game grows. Compared to zlib this is much more efficient at english-language compression, but entirely not suitable for other types of strings that do not contain english words. This code is intended to be used on the client side, and only includes the procedures necessary to compress and decompress a string, specifically everyday English conversational sentences.

scare any friends or someone who needs a good scare! The program does not delete any files and does no other harm then disabling task manager and the mouse. Includes a DOS prompt popup The program stays ontop and after a duration of time you recieve a msgbox that enables the task manager and mouse and ends the program restoring everything. Just for fun, to humiliate someone or get a good laugh or reaction, hehe =)

If you have office 2007+ you can obtain a free MS plugin for further types of documents making it possible for this code to be adapted to convert to .pdf and others. No votes as code is adapted from code I found somewhere.

I provide 5 different examples to help you on your way. This usercontrol allows you to easily connect to a ssl server using winsock control. It has proxy support also. This control is a revamp of the ssl class by Christopher Hemple. Edit I left a small section of code out for the proxy so here is the fixed version. Vote if you want guys
A streaming internet alarm clock radio. Features include internet detection with backup alarm sound file. 12 or 24 hour display with date. All savings are saved to the registry. No resetting the alarm every day, it can be added to the start up. Tray enabled for quick access. Automatic mixer un-muting and 90% volume crank at alarm time. When you press stop on media player after alarm is playing it returns your mixer volume back to the originally set volume. You can also set the media player volume individually for each memory station and it is saved. Up to 5 preset stream links can be set from interface to point to any internet stream you like. I have included a huge file full of stream links to help users to pick stations. This program is full of features you are sure to love ! The original version of this submission 'Big Red Radio Alarm Clock' was missing some of the settings code and hung at windows shutdown. I have reconstructed the code to fix that problem. I also had trouble with the original stations stream link going down. I guess because I made the mistake of telling them about the program. Oh well their are thousands of radio stations out their with feeds that still work. So its that stations loss of listeners by them shutting off their stream. I have included a small list of some stations to help. More can be gotten from http://www.radio-locator.com and elsewhere. Also you can get the K-Lite Codec Pack to be able to listen to streaming MP3 broadcasts.
